Art Concrete (white)
Lacquer’s Concrete Art Kit
Kit includes:
- Concrete Powder premix 1kg
- Additive 80ml
What it is:
Crafted from premium phosphate cement, this specially modified concrete incorporates finely sieved sea sand, clay, and quartz to ensure exceptional quality and versatility.
Directions for use:
- Weigh and add the concrete powder into the mixing bowl
- Add about 8% of the additive liquid (white liquid provided) to the concrete powder. If you are using 100 grams of concrete powder, add 8 grams of the additive
- Add water in the indicative ratio of 25 to 35 grams: 100 grams (Water: Concrete powder). This can be adjusted according to consistency. Add more water if the mix is too dry. But be careful not to add too much as this may cause the product to crack. For instance, if you are using 100 grams of concrete powder, add 37.5 grams of water. This can be increased to 40-42 grams or decreased to 31-33 if required. The consistency of the mix should be like oatmeal or peanut butter (Not too flowy)
- Add concrete pigment at this stage and mix for a uniform coat
Pouring and setting:
- Pour this mix into your mould. The concrete will start setting within 20-30 minutes of mixing
- Tap the concrete-filled mould a few times to release the air from inside and to ensure that the concrete has filled the entire mould
- Do not move your piece too much once it starts setting as this will interfere with the drying process
- Carefully demould concrete after 24 hours
Please note the following:
- Adding too much or too little water will weaken the concrete
- Do not add any sort of resin pigments or oil-based pigments to concrete
- Concrete will have trapped air which could cause small holes in the finished product. This is just the nature of concrete and adds to the final look
- Wash the mould with dish soap and a dish scour right after demolding
- We recommend not cleaning the moulds or cement in your sink as it could create blockages in your drain pipes in case the cement happens to set inside the pipes
