When to use 3:1 Epoxy Resin

This resin is of low viscosity, which means it flows like water. It works great when used in moulds. Bubbles are minimal with this resin. Use this if you’re making a river table or filling a mould (coasters, trays, clocks, etc) with resin. Pour up to 1 inch at a time. This is the most versatile resin to work with.

Casting Resin by Lacquer- Properties

• Ratio: 3:1

• Low viscosity

• High Gloss

• Transparent/ Ultra Clear Mixture

• Minimal bubbles

• Longer pot life (45 minutes to 60 minutes)

• Provides tough, clear, impact-resistant coating and castings

• Coatings are free of surface blush

• Has a slightly pungent odour which is intrinsic to epoxy resins

• Coverage: 1kg covers 10-12sft with 1mm thickness

• Self Levelling

• UV Resistant  

Mixing and curing:

• Mix in the ratio of 3:1 (Resin 3 parts: Hardener 1 parts) by weight (Grams)

• Stir well for 5 minutes

• Pot life of 45 minutes to 1 hour based on ambient temperature

• Initial setting time 24 hours

• The second coat can be added 12 hours after the first coat

• 2 cm pour at once

• The final setting in 48-72 hours  

Packing sizes:  

• 400g (300g Resin + 100g Hardener)

• 1.2kg (900g Resin + 300g Hardener)

• 4kg (3kg Resin + 1kg Hardener)
